14 DAY TRIAL // Ever since her husband, football player Ashley Cole, was again accused of having several affairs with his alleged mistresses going straight to the British tabloids, Cheryl Cole has kept mum on the topic of divorce. Her only statement came via Twitter, where she announced her separation. It is on the same Twitter page that Cheryl is taking a stand once more, rubbishing ongoing reports.
Recent photos of Cheryl have been posted online, with many a publication saying that, in one of them, she is seen running her hand through her hair so that Ashley sees she’s not wearing her wedding ring and gets the message. Moreover, tabloids say, the Girls Aloud singer is using these photos to make the statement she doesn’t want to make herself, namely that she has finally taken the decision to file for divorce. Nothing could be farther from the truth, Cheryl explains.
“Message from Cheryl Cole to follow,” reads a tweet on SupersonicPR’s Twitter, Cheryl’s management. “I just wanted to clear up the stories about whether I am wearing my wedding ring in my own words as this has been going on for too long and is getting boring. It is not some silly game I am playing. That is not me and not my style. There have been many occasions where I have not worn my wedding ring, many of those when I was pictured with Ashley I find it crazy that people would think I use this as some sort of msg. Believe it or not Ashley is fully aware of any situation going on in our personal lives. He does not need to see a picture of me moving the hair out of my face to explain anything. Please drop it,” Cheryl herself tweets.
Her management returns to the same page to explain why she’s come to the decision to speak out on the rumors. “Yes, that is from Cheryl as explained at the start allows. Cheryl decided to tweet as she has had enough of the [expletive] written about her. This allows Cheryl to have her say in her own words,” a later tweet explains. Unfortunately, as it is usually the case in such situations, this has not stopped rumors from making the rounds.
Cheryl and Ashley Cole were faced with the second crisis in their marriage earlier this year, when his mistresses went to the tabloid The Sun to tell their stories of their affairs of him, offering text messages and photos as evidence. Since then, speculation has been running rampant on whether Cheryl will divorce him or forgive him once more.
