14 DAY TRIAL // In light of recent events, singer and television personality Cheryl Cole has come to the conclusion that she can no longer take her husband’s infidelities and certainly not the media attention that comes with allegations of cheating on his part, and is set to announce their separation and impending divorce. Though she’s already made up her mind about that, the official announcement will be made in a few weeks’ time, the Daily Mail has learned.
Sources close to the star vouch that she has already made the first steps towards getting a separation from her husband by moving out the house she shared with him and renting out a hotel suite for herself. Moreover, she’s set on getting a divorce, having finally realized that the saying of “once a cheater, always a cheater” applies in her husband’s case as well. The official announcement should be made in a few weeks’ time at the most.
“Cheryl Cole is to divorce her footballer husband Ashley after a string of revelations about his alleged infidelity, the Daily Mail has learned. Friends of The X Factor judge claim that a split will be announced ‘within weeks’ after she flew to Los Angeles without her wedding ring. They say the 26-year-old Girls Aloud singer has gone beyond the point of ‘riding out’ the storm over their relationship – and could soon fire the starting gun on a fight over the couple’s assets,” the tabloid writes.
“Yesterday, Mrs. Cole arrived at Heathrow airport hours after her triumphant appearance at the Brit Awards, without her £160,000 engagement or wedding ring. Instead, she sported a large gold cocktail ring on the third finger of her left hand. […] Friends who have spoken to the singer say that they now expect her to end the Coles’ three-and-a-half-year marriage when she returns to the UK next week,” the same publication goes on to say.
Trouble in the Cole marriage began these past days, when two different women went to the British tabloids to offer photographic evidence (and text messages) for Ashley’s infidelities. This is the second time the footballer finds himself at the center of a scandal of this nature, though the first time Cheryl forgave him, telling the media no love story nor marriage was perfect, therefore neither was hers and compromise had to be made.
