Rihanna seems to be the most in-demand artist for collaborations these days, with British pop star Cheryl Cole just confirming in a recent interview that fans should expect a Cheryl-Rihanna track sometime next year.

The X Factor judge and ex-Girls Aloud member is releasing a brand new album, “Messy Little Raindrops,” on November 1 but she’s also looking forward to the future, with a duet with Rihanna.

In a recent interview cited by AceShowbiz, the “Promise This” singer confirms that, indeed, she and RiRi would be getting together sometime next year to work on a duet.

“I couldn’t believe it when I heard Rihanna wanted to work with me. When I found out she wanted to collaborate, I got goosebumps all over,” Cheryl reveals.

While further details on this are not yet available – perhaps not even Cheryl knows them just yet – the star says only knowing that she’ll be working with Rihanna is enough to get her psyched.

“We’re definitely doing something together next year. I’m totally up for it,” Cheryl says with enthusiasm. And, it would seem, the two have more in common than just a love for making pop music.

“I love that she’s into tattoos, she’s got one on her collar bone saying ‘Never a failure, always a lesson’ – that’s beautiful,” Cheryl says.

As we also informed you late last year, the tat Cheryl is talking about was done by Keith “Bang Bang” McCurdy, who has also done a couple of other tattoos for Rihanna.

It’s written backwards, so as to be readable in the mirror, which means Rihanna wants to be able to see it whenever she’s looking at herself. It’s a reminder of the Chris Brown experience and the lesson she must take from it.

In other Rihanna music news, she too is having an album coming out: “Loud” arrives in US music stores one week after Cheryl’s own material.

In the meantime, though, Rihanna is also said to be working on a follow-up to her and Eminem’s highly successful duet “Love the Way You Lie.”

“Love the Way You Lie (Part 2)” is believed to tell the same story as this summer’s smashing hit, but from the woman’s perspective. A release date for it hasn’t been announced yet.
