Since we last reported on the newest deals on Mac refurbs, Apple quietly added another discounted Mac to its Special Deals section.

We’re talking about a June 2010 Mac mini with a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 2GB of memory, a 320GB hard drive, HDMI port with support for up to 1920-by-1200 resolution, the Apple SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW), and NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics with 256MB memory.

The mini desktop Mac is, of course, refurbished (pre-owned) but polished up by Apple inside and out.

By choosing this configuration as your next Mac, you only spend $599, which saves you $100 off the original retail price, according to Apple.

Needless to point out, you also need to provide your own mouse, keyboard, and monitor to be able to use it.

A more powerful Mac mini which also works as a good server solution is the refurbished Mac mini with Snow Leopard Server that sells for $849, saving its buyer $150.

The Server computer was also launched in June 2010 with the following specifications: 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU; 4GB memory; dual 500GB Serial ATA hard disk drives; HDMI port with support for up to 1920-by-1200 resolution; NVIDIA GeForce 320M with 256MB memory.

But while these two offers may seem attractive, we must remind potential buyers that Apple is reportedly planning to release updated models of some of its Macs, including the mini.

The upgrades would consist of more powerful Sandy Bridge (Core i) CPUs and Thunderbolt I/O. Apple is likely to keep the price in place for these upgraded systems, once they’re out.

We’ve already covered the rest of the offers available through Apple’s Special Deals site - including MacBooks, iMacs, and even Mac Pro workstations, but you are more than welcome to pay Apple a visit and make your pick.
