Motorola Z10 is really cool

Images with Motorola Z10 first appeared in the fall of 2007 and there were rumors about a release scheduled for October 2007. But that didn't happen, and Z10 is not even now available. However, Motorola currently showcases the phone at CeBIT 2008 in Hanover, Germany (4 - 9 March), so we had to take some pictures with it.

Motorola Z10 comes with the same banana-like slider design that we saw at Motorola RIZR Z8, a pretty cool handset reviewed about a month ago by Softpedia. This being said, the new Z10 offers a really nice view when slided as well as when closed. Its weird-in-a-good-way shape and its metallic finish are definitely set to attract everyone's looks.

Besides the great design, Motorola Z10 also has a wide range of advanced features. The handset runs on Symbian OS 9.2 with UIQ 3.2 and provides quad-band GSM and HSDPA connectivity. Weighing 115 grams and measuring 109 x 50 x 16.5 mm, Z10 packs a 2.2 inch, 240 x 320 pixels scratch-resistant display, a 3.15 Megapixel camera with auto focus, xenon flash and video (QVGA at 30 fps), secondary VGA video-call camera, music and video player, Bluetooth 2.0, Java MIDP 2.0, USB 2.0, Instant Messaging, Internet and email capabilities, and microSD card support for no less than 32GB!

Motorola Z10 has a Li-Ion 1030 mAh battery that should provide a talk-time of up to 5 hours and a stand-by time of about 380 hours. There's no word for now when exactly the new banana phone will hit the market, but we assume it has to come soon.

Another Motorola phone that is showcased at CeBIT 2008 is W377, an entry-level phone that can't be proud of too many things, besides the affordable price and its good looks. Although it's a clamshell, W377's design resembles a bit the one of Z10, especially in its lower part (check the live pics).

Motorola W377 measures 99 x 45 x 18.6 mm, weighs 95 grams and supports tri-band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz). The handset packs a TFT main screen with 65K colors and 128 x 160 pixels, a secondary external display, GPRS, FM Radio, WAP 2.0 / xHTML browser, Bluetooth, mini USB, organizer, handsfree and iTap. Its Li-Ion battery can provide up to 7.5 hours of talk-time and up to 250 hours of stand-by time. No details yet about the phone's availability or pricing.

Below you have live images with both Motorola Z10 and Motorola W377, straight from CeBIT. Enjoy!
