Part of Sony Ericsson's new series of business orientated handsets, together with G700, Sony Ericsson G900, is showcased these days at CeBIT 2008 in Hanover, Germany (4 - 9 March), and we bring you live images with it.

Both G700 and G900 are named "touchscreen organizers" by the Swedish-Japanese, and this is probably the best (short) description for the devices.

Although it has the same size and weight as G700 (106 x 49 x 13 mm and 99 grams), Sony Ericsson G900 brings more advanced features. The phone runs on Symbian UIQ and offers a 2.4 inch TFT touchscreen display with 256K colors support and a 240 x 320 pixels resolution, tri-band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) plus UMTS 21000, and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g for high speed data transfers and Web surfing. Furthermore, we have a one-touch media and organizer menu, multimedia player with MP3, AAC and MPEG4 support, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, USB 2.0, Java MIDP 2.0, TrackID music recognition, handwriting recognition, StickyNotes, business card scanner, picture editor, voice memo and dial, document reader/editor, 160MB of built-in memory and Memory Stick Micro (M2) support.

One of the highlights of G900 is its 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus, flash, image stabilizer and video recording. Besides offering good-quality pictures at high resolutions, the camera also allows users to instantly share images with friends and family. A secondary front camera for video calls is also included.

Sony Ericsson G900 packs a Li-Ion 950 mAh battery that proves to be quite powerful, as it is able to provide up to 12 hours of talk-time and up to 380 hours of stand-by time.

We don't know yet when exactly will G900 be available (a Q2, 2008 release is expected anyway), but until then check out the live pics made by the Softpedia team at CeBIT.
