When they saw the girl on two occasions, at McDonald's and Burger King, they were told that the girl was his girlfriend's daughter. I guess they never bothered to ask to meet that girlfriend.
According to Daily Mail, the two men have been cleared of all charges in the kidnapping of Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michele Knight.
As the video above can confirm, they told CNN that they were being brought in for a red light, in Ariel's case, and an open container charge in what Pedro was concerned.
They add that they have never seen the inside of Ariel's home, having only been invited into the kitchen.
