The CP+ Camera & Photo Imaging Show is just around the corner, and many camera and optics manufacturers have already announced their lineups for the upcoming event.

In the case of Casio, it seems that yesterday's rumors were true, as the Nippon electronics maker officially revealed today its latest compact camera flagship, the Casio EX-100.

The new model is quite similar with the previous EXILIM EX-10 camera, but features a longer 6-64.2mm optical zoom lens that covers a 35mm equivalent focal length of 28-300mm, while being capable of maintaining the same f/2.8 aperture value throughout the entire zoom range.

Casio EX-100 is equipped with the same 12.1MP 1/1.7'' BSI CMOS image sensor as the EX-10, can capture RAW and JPEG files using a shutter speed between 4 seconds and 1/4000 of a second, and is capable of shooting up to 6 frames per second in burst shooting mode with AF tracking.

The new model also comes with a high ISO sensitivity of up to ISO 25,600 that makes it great for night shots or low-light portraits. Additionally, the camera can capture 1080p Full HD video footage at 30 frames per second, has a dedicated time-lapse mode, integrated ND filter, Wi-Fi, and comes with a 3.5-inch 921K-dot TFT monitor.

One of the most interesting features also available on the previous EX-10 model is the biaxial bracketing mode that allows you to take up to 9 photos at the same time using two bracketing variables.

What this really means is that you can choose Contrast and Saturation, Brightness and White Balance, and many other bracketing possibilities to get the best possible picture in any given conditions without the need of a tripod to manually change each value and take as many pictures as you want.

Casio EX-100 will be presented at CP+ and will be available starting late March. Pricing is yet to be announced.
