Former Miss California USA and the Miss California USA beauty pageant have finally found a way to agree on something, following months of verbal and legal dispute over the former’s firing from the competition in the aftermath of the homophobe-comments scandal. According to TMZ, Prejean has dropped the discrimination lawsuit against the organization, while it, in return, will no longer ask for the money she got to do her implants back.

It all started with Prejean taking part in the Miss USA beauty pageant, where she was asked about her opinion on Prop 8 and same-gender marriage. When she answered that she believed God meant marriage to be between a man and a woman, all hell broke loose, which eventually culminated with her being dethroned as the reigning Miss California. Prejean took the beauty pageant to court over claims of religious discrimination.

In retaliation, the organization also sued, saying it had paid for Prejean’s breast implants. Since she was no longer Miss California USA and was not so because she had failed to fulfill her contractual obligations, she was to pay the $5,200 back, money she had used for cosmetic surgery. Luckily, neither will Prejean have to pay said amount, nor will the organization face allegations of religious discrimination, as both parties have dropped their suits.

“Carrie Prejean, Keith Lewis, and K2 productions have dropped their claim against each other and wish each other the best in their future endeavors. We are moving forward from the past and looking towards the crowning of two winners and the new look of the upcoming Miss California USA pageant, telecast live on November 22nd.” a statement from the Miss California USA organization reads.

As of now, Carrie Prejean herself has not been available for comment on the recent developments. However, seeing how she gets to keep the implants without having to pay a dime, she must certainly be pretty satisfied with them.
