Gameboy Micro more important than Sony's next-gen device?

You might have heard about the latest Capcom-related news, which involves the transformation of Devil May Cry 4 from a PS3-only title to a multi-platform product. While this may infuriate the people over at Sony, Capcom have given the Japanese company yet another reason to dislike the creator of Devil May Cry: turns out that Monster Hunter won't surface on the PS3, but rather on the Wii.

The Kotaku fellows have sensed some sort of conspiracy, as it seems that Capcom forgot to mention the PS3 and Wii in one of its important surveys. By purchasing the Wii title Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure, in its Japanese version you'll also get a chance to complete a survey, which features the options mentioned below:

1. PlayStation (PS one) 2. PlayStation 2 3. GameCube 4. Dreamcast 5. Xbox 6. Xbox 360 7. Gameboy Advance (SP, Micro) 8. Nintendo DS (Lite) 9. PSP 10. Other

The participants in the survey must also mention their favorite genre and the console they own. While the Wii is a logical option since the set of questions was available with a Wii title, the lack of the PS3, probably included in the "Others" section is an unforgivable omission. What's worse, Capcom remembers to mention the Dreamcast and even the Gameboy Micro, but if we take into consideration the sales figures, they're probably more popular than Sony's next-gen gaming device.

Are we witnessing a hidden developer versus console manufacturer war? Changing platform is surely a declaration of war nowadays, when the next-gen battles have intensified. Remember Konami and their new platform orientation? And what about that Square-Enix teaming up with Xbox makers, Microsoft? Seems that all major developers are parting the PS3 universe and heading towards the glorious 360 or Wii.
