With next month's CP+ show in Yokohama, Japan getting closer, lots of rumors started to appear regarding the possible cameras that will be introduced by some of the most important players on the digital camera market.

Lately, rumors have been going wild about Canon's possible camera announcements at CP+, and among them we can mention the EOS 7D successor, a new APS-C flagship model, a G1 X replacement, and new Rebel/EOS xxxD DSLRs.

According to CanonWatch, trusted sources claim that Canon won't unveil a replacement for the EOS 7D, nor the rumored APS-C flagship. Moreover, another source notes that the company's reported EOS-A1 high-end DSLR with hybrid viewfinder is said to have an APS-C sensor, but it shouldn't be seen as 7D's successor.

It seems that the EOS-A1 comes with a high megapixel count sensor and is optimized to offer the best video performance on the market. Furthermore, the camera features a hybrid viewfinder capable of switching between optical and electronic modes, especially when recording video.

Whether the EOS-A1 is Canon's new APS-C flagship or not, it remains to be seen. Stay tuned as we try to find out more on the matter.
