A brand new report about the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 title has just appeared, saying that the game is going to launch this year, and is being worked upon by Infinity Ward, as well as Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software.

Activision's Call of Duty franchise is currently the biggest games series out there, breaking sales records with each new iteration.

As such, the next Call of Duty title is being rumored left and right.

According to the most recent report, the next game will be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Judging by an article from the LA Times, Modern Warfare 3 is currently in development at Infinity Ward, the creator of both the Call of Duty franchise and the Modern Warfare spin-off one, but the studio is also helped by two other companies, Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software.

The report says that Infinity Ward was severely shaken up by the departure of its founders, Jason West and Vince Zampella, so it needs extra help to get Modern Warfare 3 up to spec.

As such, Activision has suspended Sledgehammer Games' own Call of Duty project, so that the studio, led by the minds behind Electronic Arts' Dead Space, will help on the single-player portion of Modern Warfare 3.

Also, Activision also employed Raven Software, another internal studio, known for Singularity or Wolfenstein, to help with the multiplayer mode of the future Call of Duty game.

All these studios are working hard to get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ready to launch this November, according to the LA Times.

This isn't the first time all these studios were rumored together, as a report from a couple of weeks ago said that Infinty Ward was working by itself on Modern Warfare 3, which it will deploy next year, while Sledgehammer and Raven were working on their own Call of Duty projects.

We even made a couple of guesses on where the Call of Duty franchise will go to, right after that report.

This is just a rumor, at the moment, but Activision did reveal that, "There's been much speculation recently. We look forward to releasing details for the next Call of Duty in the near future."
