The multiplayer side of Call of Duty: Ghosts is at the moment playable during the Gamescom event in Germany and the development team at Infinity Ward is ready to give players more information about the perks and the strike packages that gamers can use.

The studio is quoted by VG247 as saying that there are more than 20,000 possible unique combinations linked to the appearance customization system of the new Create-a-Soldier system.

At the same time, players will have to settle upon an efficient weapon and perk loadout for their character, with a limited budget of points that needs to cover a primary and secondary weapon, equipment and skills.

Both attachments and Killstreaks are free to take into battle.

Eight points of perks are available in Call of Duty: Ghosts and the main categories for them are:

Speed – includes Sleight of Hand and Agility and cover movement through the battle space. Handling – includes On The Go and Strong Arm and makes it easier for the player to use his weapons Stealth – with Takedown and Off the Grid, it is designed to allow players to attack undetected. Awareness – allows players to quickly detect all threats. Resistance – makes a player more resistant to damage from others. Equipment – perks that will allow a player to take more items and ammunition into battle. Elite – an all-new category, including Ping and Deadeye.

Strike Packages now come in three flavors:

Assault – linked to consecutive kills, includes Streak like: Sat Com, Guard Dog, Maniac. Support - does not reset on player’s death, will allow the player to use: Night Owl, MAAWS, Helo Scout. Specialist – based on consecutive kills.
