Call of Duty: Black Ops, the first-person shooter from developer Treyarch and publisher Activision, has managed to conquer the top position in the United Kingdom video game chart, pushing down Test Drive Unlimited 2, the racing-powered winner of last week.

Call of Duty recently received a new map pack, called First Strike, which might have enticed a number of fence sitters to get the game and join the multiplayer battles.

Activision has said that another DLC pack made up of maps will be released in the coming months to keep interest in the game up.

The new comer Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds from Capcom has managed to combo its way to second place in the United Kingdom in its first week on sale and the developer probably hopes that it will have a run similar to that of Street Fighter IV.

Dead Space 2, the horror and survival shooter from Electronic Arts and developer Visceral, has slipped down one place to reach third while Test Drive Unlimited 2, with all its problems and achievements detailed in this Softpedia review, now sits in fourth place.

FIFA 11 from EA Sports has also lost pace, coming in fifth place this week, but could see a boost after the release of a big Ultimate Team update.

Just Dance 2 has the moves to go up one place from seventh to sixth while Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the open-world action adventure game from Ubisoft, is losing some of its stealth skill and has landed in seventh place coming from fifth.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini Land Mayhem! from Nintendo is occupying eighth place, losing two places, while Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition from Rockstar continues to promote Liberty City and its various criminal activities at number nine.

Little Big Planet 2 from Media Molecule and from Sony closes down the top ten.
