Treyarch is continuing the patching process for its latest game, Call of Duty: Black Ops, and has just revealed that a new patch for the Nintendo Wii version of the game will be released today.

Call of Duty: Black Ops was the biggest game to be released this year, and has broken sales records around the world, not only for video games but also for movies or books, dominating the entertainment medium.

Now, after multiple patches released for platforms like the PC, PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, Treyarch has just revealed that a patch for the Nintendo Wii will go live in the next few hours.

"We are listening to you and continue to work on updates to the game based on your feedback. Our first update is now complete and will be available within the next 24 hours!" revealed the studio on the game's official forums.

A Wii Shop Channel account is necessary in order to access the new update for Call of Duty: Black Ops.

According to the company, players will be prompted with the update when they start the multiplayer mode, and must download it if they want to keep playing.

If you're already in the multiplayer mode, Treyarch recommends switching to single-player and then restarting the online mode.

The update won't appear if you're playing the Zombies mode, however.

Here are some of the fixes implemented in the new patch.

o Unable to connect to multiplayer without switching profiles o Freezes during matchmaking when using the LAN adapter o Players were sometimes kicked out af a game right before it started o Changes to custom controls and options were not saving correctly (“Unbound glitch”) o Wager match specific bug in Radiation that caused dead players to teleport o Fixed "care package glitch" where player could get infinite number of 'Sam Turret', 'Care Package', and 'Sentry Gun' killstreaks

A new error has been spotted, according to the studio, which displays the "an error occurred while connecting to the server" message, which will be fixed as soon as possible.
