The First Strike downloadable map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops has just received even more details, thanks to a new trailer released by development studio Treyarch and the game's publisher, Activision.

Call of Duty: Black Ops shattered sales records since it was released back in November, and is showing no signs of stopping , especially as the first downloadable content for it is getting ready to be released.

The new map pack, called First Strike, has four new maps for the game's multiplayer modes, and a new one for the zombie cooperative mode.

The DLC has now seen new details released for it, including the first information about the special zombie map, called Ascension, which has been kept a secret up until now.

We already knew a few details about the five regular maps, but it seems that Ascension is really taking things up a level.

It takes place in a Soviet missile launch facility, and even has zombie monkeys, besides the regular soldiers that want to eat your brains out.

"First Strike contains 5 incredibly diverse maps spanning the globe; featuring 4 multiplayer maps and a new Zombie experience. Includes "Berlin Wall", allowing combat on both sides of the imposing wall; "Discovery", a desolate, frozen German outpost in the Arctic; "Kowloon", battle in the rain along the rooftops of a towering Chinese sprawl; "Stadium", an intense locale with a pro hockey arena backdrop; and "Ascension", where you fight zombies in a Soviet launch facility," revealed Treyarch in a statement.

The First Strike DLC map pack will be out on February 1, as a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360 platform.

As such, PC and PlayStation 3 owners, despite having versions that were plagued by issues and problems, are still going to have to wait until they get the all-new content.

First Strike for Call of Duty: Black Ops will cost 1200 MS Points, or around $15.
