14 DAY TRIAL // This year we should see a nice range of appealing devices added to AT&T’s offering with support for the wireless carrier’s LTE network.
One of these devices will be the Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD from Samsung, which is being released as the successor of last year’s Galaxy S II Skyrocket device.
The same as its predecessor, the new Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD is powered by Google’s Android operating system, and can deliver great connectivity capabilities on the wireless carrier’s network.
The specifications list of this mobile phone includes a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD touchscreen display that can deliver a 1280×720 pixels resolution.
The smartphone is powered by a dual-core application processor with each core clocked in at 1.5 GHz.
On the back, the upcoming Android-based mobile phone will feature an 8-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash and with support for 1080p HD video capture.
The rear camera is complemented by a front 2-megapixel camera that should prove a great option when it comes to making or receiving video calls.
In addition to providing 4G LTE support, the new mobile phone should also arrive on shelves with support for the wireless carrier’s 3G network, as well as with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and more.
“Planned for availability in the coming months, the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD is an elegantly designed and highly functional 4G LTE smartphone that features a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, as well as a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor for ultra-smooth game play and video playback,” the wireless carrier announced via a press release.
As stated above, this is only one of the Android-based LTE handsets that AT&T plans on making available for its users this year. At the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the wireless carrier announced five such smartphones and one tablet powered by 4G LTE.
Unfortunately, the wireless services provider did not offer specific details on the availability and pricing of Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD.
