Nyko's Wireless Nunchuck features full accelerometer support for motion-based gameplay

Remember news about the Wireles Nunchuck controller for Wii? Well, Nyko has just announced that CNET has selected its peripheral as a finalist in this year's Best of CES awards in the gaming category. Q1 2008 will see Wii owners swinging, pulling and twisting air around using Nyko's Wireless Nunchuck, as it becomes available for purchase at just $29.99.

It has been confirmed that the Wireless Nunchuck features full accelerometer support for motion-based gameplay, using a dongle that attaches to the bottom of the the other Wii controller, the Wii Remote. This particular Nunchuck is compatible with all Wii games that require it when the session begins. More than that, Nyko has managed to give it a design that's perfectly suitable for both lefties and right handed gamers. Two AAA Batteries power it up for up to 30 hours of continuous gameplay. To top it all, batteries are INCLUDED, yeeaah!

According to the same report, since the Wireless Nunchuck for Wii has made the Best of CES Award finals, Nyko's new peripheral is also eligible to win a People's Voice Award. You too can vote for your favorite product. The ten categories include:
