CBS and Warner Bros. want nothing to do with Charlie Sheen anymore, let alone get into negotiations with him in the odd chance of getting him back on “Two and a Half Men.” This is the official response to claims made by the actor the other day.

As we also reported at the time, Sheen went on the record saying that he was in talks with CBS, Warner Bros. and series creator Chuck Lorre to get back on the show from which he was fired some weeks ago, after he proved he was unprofessional and had a supposed drug problem.

Network bosses are now fighting back, saying they never were and will never be negotiating with Sheen for his former job. The time to sit down and talk this through is long gone.

“As you know, there have been no discussions, there are no discussions, and there will be no discussions, regarding his returning to or having any involvement in the series,” a letter from CBS and Warner Bros. to Sheen’s attorney, Marty Singer, reads, as PopEater reports.

Nevertheless, the actor’s legal representative is adamant that his client is telling the truth: at one point, he was, in fact, talking with the right people about the possibility of coming back to “Two and a Half Men.”

“That’s ridiculous. There absolutely have been discussions. As late as this Tuesday there have been discussions about Charlie coming back and everyone was involved,” Singer lashes back.

As noted above, it all started when Sheen let it slip in a radio interview that the door on “Two and a Half Men” was not closed for eternity, despite the less than amicable parting from the show.

He didn’t go into specifics and stressed that he was probably not supposed to be saying anything, but he made it clear that he’d been approached with an offer or his old job.

This sparked some talk about how either CBS and Warner Bros. were looking to capitalize on Sheen’s fame (or infamy, better yet) by asking him back on the show, or Sheen was so desperate and strapped for cash that he was lying about being made the offer.
