Any fan of developer Bungie who expected to see the team quickly offer some information that they are working on will have their hopes crushed by a statement from one of the developers, who says that the team will not be talking about their project for some time, mainly in order to create a feeling of anticipation.

Eric Osborne, who is the community manager working at Bungie, has told Eurogamer that, “It’s my job to pay attention make sure we respond to the right kinds of things and let other things that we don’t normally touch just kind of sit there. Speculation is usually generated when people are interested, so in that respect it’s good. People want to know what we’re doing and people are engaged.”

He added, “That’s pretty cool. We’re kind of going into a dark phase now. We’re not going to make a whole lot of noise, we just want to allow people to build anticipation. And frankly we’re really, really busy.”

Bungie has transferred over all responsibility for the Halo franchise, including further maintenance work for last year's Reach, to 343 Industries.

They are working on a remake of the first Halo as well as the fourth game in the series.

They are now working on the new game universe that they are set to create for publisher Activision Blizzard for the coming ten years.

The deal between Bungie and Activision has been announced for some time but neither of the two companies has offered any actual detail about what they are working on.

The rumors are saying that Bungie will create a massive multiplayer first person shooter that will use a science fiction based game world.

The game will probably be launched during 2013 and will become a sort of alternative to other big franchises from Activision Blizzard, like World of Warcraft and Call of Duty.
