As Bulletstorm is nearing its release date, Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski sat down with the PlayStation Blog and revealed a few new details about the game, including its special multiplayer mode, and revealed that the title would "take advantage of what the PlayStation 3 is capable of."

For those that haven't heard about this new first person shooter, Bulletstorm is currently being developed by Polish studio People Can Fly, under the tutelage of Epic Games, the studio behind franchises like Gears of War or Unreal Tournament.

Unlike any other first person shooters, Bulletstorm has a "kill with skill" motto, meaning players need to think of ingenious ways to kill enemies in order to rack up as many points as possible.

Bleszinski talked about the game in general and its special Anarchy multiplayer mode in particular.

He revealed that wasn't their regular co-operative mode, like Call of Duty's Nazi Zombies or Gears of War's Horde mode.

Instead, it really emphasizes skill and teamwork in facing the hordes of enemies, as the four-player teams need to work together and create special team combos in order to advance through the rounds.

The Epic Games executive also talked about how Bulletstorm will perform on the PlayStation 3, as many gamers were worried that Epic's doesn't really consider the platform due to the popularity of Gears of War on the 360.

Not so, as Bleszinski was quick to point out that the People Can Fly team worked hard on both those versions and they would both handle perfectly.

"When you see the game on PS3, you'll see the textures look crisp, the depth of field looks great, the particles look amazing - it will very much take advantage of what the PS3 is capable of," he said.
