14 DAY TRIAL // Judges on Britain’s Got Talent may just as well have been looking for contestants with the X Factor, judging by how the auditions went. Lorna Bliss, a career Britney Spears impersonator, shocked the three with her raunchy performance for a spot on the show.
Lorna has spent the past 10 years working as a Britney Spears impersonator. She’s also invested over £35,000 in it, because she wants to be the best Britney lookalike in Britain.
As such, she was probably shocked to see that the three judges on Britain’s Got Talent and the audiences didn’t like her performance of “Toxic,” even though she went to great lengths to replicate the pop star’s outfit in the official video.
In other words, she was barely clothed, except for a thong and lots of rhinestones placed on her body, just like Britney wore in the video too, the Daily Mail reports.
Lorna didn’t stop here either in her quest to impress and land for herself a spot in the competition: she also went to the judges’ table, patted David Hasselhoff on the shoulder, kissed Amanda Holden on the lips and then sprayed herself on the table.
None of that – and not even Bliss’ positive thinking – helped her, as all three judges gave her a round “no” at the end of the performance.
Moreover, some of the people in the audience booed her loudly as she wriggled and crawled on the floor on all fours, noticeably out of breath.
“The wigs, dental treatments, facials... if she tightens up, I tighten up; if she puts on a bit of weight, I’m like ‘Hey. Pizza Hut, let’s go’,” Lorna said before of the audition of the effort that goes into being a full-time Spears impersonator.
“When Britney shaved her hair off, I did it too. I’ve basically dedicated my whole being to being Britney. To perform at the Royal Variety Show would just be so awesome. I’d fly the flag for Britney and make her so proud,” she also said.
While the judges agreed that she was a good Spears impersonator, none of them saw how she could fit on Britain’s Got Talent.
