14 DAY TRIAL // In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Britney Spears admits that her dad ran a background check on her current boyfriend, David Lucado, before their first date, while also admitting that she’s in love. Video of the chat has now emerged online.
We have already discussed this part of the interview on a previous occasion but, as it turns out, the video includes a bit more details on the romance, straight from Britney herself.
The pop star takes the time to deny reports that it was her father who arranged her romance to David, saying that they actually met through friends while having dinner at the same restaurant about one month after she announced her engagement to Jason Trawick was over.
“We were eating at a restaurant. [A couple of friends] knew him and they introduced me to him and we just kind of hit it off. And now I’m in love,” Britney says with a bright smile on her face.
So, while her dad didn’t set her up with David, he did want to make sure he was an ok guy before they went on their first date, so he had him checked out. Since they’re still together and she’s saying she loves him in interviews, he clearly did check out.
