The board game creator USAOPOLY and the video game developer Blizzard have announced that they are working together in order to create two new games, Monopoly: World of Warcraft and RISK: Starcraft.

The two companies are saying that the two titles will combine the core gamer foundations of the game board series with the art style and the design that belong to the video game franchises.

In Monopoly: World of Warcraft the game locations will be based on the MMO, with the real estate slots occupied by Twilight Highlands, Grizzly Hills, Swamp of Sorrows and other in-game places that dedicated gamers will quickly recognize.

The die included will be red and blue, representing the Alliance and the Horde. The figures for the houses and the hotels are modeled after the in-game towns and cities.

Players who like both games will be able to take a closer look at the game design via Facebook and can also vote on the most popular tokens, which will be included in the game when it launches.

Monopoly: World of Warcraft will have a launch date of May on the North American market and will sell for 39.95 dollars (30.32 Euro).

RISK: Starcraft will allow players to conquer the entire universe by playing as the Terran, Protoss and the Zerg factions, with six unique heroes included in order to give players tactical options and new ways of taking out enemy factions.

Each of them will allow the gamer to create an entirely new set of strategies, similar to those used in multiplayer Starcraft matches.

The game is set to include 290 custom playing pieces and will offer three game modes with more details offered as the development effort on the new take on RISK evolves.

The launch date is set for summer of this year and the suggested retail price is 49.95 dollars (37.9 Euro).
