New reports claim Blake Lively broke up with Leo DiCaprio because he wanted to “settle down”

Earlier this week, reps for Leonardo DiCaprio and Blake Lively confirmed that the two had ended their 5-month romance, but were still friends. Fresh reports suggest that she actually broke his heart when she dumped him.

Because of his lifestyle, many assumed that it was Leo who dumped Blake. Us Weekly claims it was the other way around and that she broke his heart when she refused to settle down with him, which is what he wanted.

“Blake wasn’t ready to move to the next level. It was just too much, too quickly. Blake wasn’t ready to settle down,” an unnamed insider says for the celebrity publication.

Admittedly, after spending some time with her and getting to know her better, Leo became convinced that Blake could have been “the one” for him.

The only problem was that she thought herself too young to settle down, whereas Leo couldn’t stop talking about the future. So, she broke it off.

“He’s looking for someone to eventually start a family with… That’s not where she’s at. She’s only 24! He’s more mature. They’re not in the same place right now,” the insider says.

When publicists for the two confirmed the split earlier this week, they didn’t say how it came about, but they made sure to note that both were leaving the relationship with a smile on their face.

Blake, in the meantime, has already been linked to “Green Lantern” co-star Ryan Reynolds, who reportedly broke up with Sandra Bullock a short while ago.

Now that they’re both single, they went out and realized they had enough in common to start a relationship, word has it.

They are, spies say, positively smitten.

Leonardo is, for all the press knows, still single. He’s working on “The Great Gatsby” in Australia, so chances are fans might not hear anything of his personal life in another while, until he gets back home.
