While Cingular got Motorola Q's prime competitor, Samsung Blackjack, another one of Samsung's Pocket PC phones, i760, is heading on to Verizon.

So it looks like one of those three innovative mobile phones Samsung announced, the i760 Pocket PC, recently rumored to go under the name of Robin will be launched on Verizon after all.

Somewhat different from its GSM version as looks, Verizon's CDMA i760 features a directional pad for navigation on the left and a keypad on the right. And there's no need to panic because, just like the Blackjack, it does feature a QWERTY keyboard, which in this case is a slide-out.

And while Blackjack's QWERTY keyboard might be easier to use with one hand, in the case of i760, the keyboard can be hidden away when not in use.

Apart from sporting a very slim and classy design, that we have grown accustomed to when dealing with Samsung mobile phones, the Windows Mobile (Crossbow) powered handheld has a pretty impressive spec sheet as well.

The i760 includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion and storing more multimedia files and documents than the internal memory allows, 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM, 802.11b/g WiFi and 1xED-DO. Basically, the features the i760 includes should keep most of Verizon's business users and QWERTY keyboard fans pretty happy both at work and at home.

There's no information regarding pricing, but it looks like Verizon's Samsung i760 will start shipping in the second quarter of 2007.
