Canadian carrier Rogers has just added the White version of Blackberry Bold 9780 to its catalog. It is unclear yet if the smartphone is available in all Rogers stores, but the device appears on the carrier's website as being in stock.

Two weeks ago, ColorWare, one of the industry's leaders in altering the color of existing products, has introduced the device to its portfolio.

Customers who wanted to get their Bold 9780 color changed had to pay around $160 for the softouch color or $150 for gloss. However, the device's keypad cannot be color-changed, so users will have to stick with the original color.

Rogers subscribers who wish to own the white version of the Blackberry Bold 9780 won't have to pay extra anymore, as the device is now available for purchase from the Canadian carrier.

Blackberry Bold 9780 is powered by a 624 MHz processor and runs on Blackberry 6.0 platform. It comes with a 2.44-inch TFT with 65K colors support, 480 x 360 pixels resolution and touch-sensitive optical trackpad.

In addition to its full QWERTY keyboard, Bold 9780 embeds 256 MB internal memory, 512 MB RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB card included).

It also sports a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording capabilities. Other key features of the smartphone include: HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, UMA, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support, 3.5 mm audio jack, GPS with A-GPS support (BlackBerry maps), Push Email, IM and Document editor (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF).

The Li-Ion 1500 mAh is rated by the manufacturer for 528 hours (408 hours for 3G) of standby time or 6 hours of talk time.

Blackberry Bold 9780 White is available for purchase for $149.99 on the 3-year contract or $399.99 on a 2-year contract. Prices are the same as the Black version of the device.
