14 DAY TRIAL // Regional carrier SaskTel is one of the 225 carriers and distribution partners that will offer Research in Motion's (RIM) new BlackBerry 7 smartphones.
According to a recent internal document, SaskTel will launch the BlackBerry Bold 9900, as well as the Torch 9810 and 9860 devices by the end of the month.
Although the carrier confirmed the release of the smartphone last week via Twitter, the leaked internal document comes as a confirmation that SaskTel indeed plans to release three of the newly announced devices.
There are no information regarding the phone's prices yet, but SaskTel will be among the few Canadian carrier to make all three smartphones available in the same month.
However, SaskTel states that price options will be revealed prior to launch dates, which might be as early as next week.
TELUS, Rogers and Virgin Mobile have already confirmed that they will carry at least one of the new BlackBerry 7 smartphones.
Officially unveiled back in May, the Bold 9900 was initially one of the most expected BlackBerry smartphone, but with all the ruckus caused by the rumors about the upcoming QNX-based smartphone in Q1 2012, the phone may not get the most positive feedback from users.
All three smartphone heading to SaskTel feature a range of powerful hardware enhancements including a 1.2 GHz processor, HD video recording and 24-bit high resolution graphics.
In addition to supporting BlackBerry 7 OS, the new BlackBerry Torch 9810, which is the successor of the original Torch 9800, comes with a medium-size 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display, as well as a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
The BlackBerry Torch 9860 features the largest touchscreen display ever embedded onto a BlackBerry smartphone.
The 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen displays are optimized for displaying web pages, photos, videos and powerful gaming experiences.
