Even though AT&T did not seem to invest too much in BlackBerry Z10’s launch, it looks like the smartphone is off to a good start in the United States.

At least that’s what Amazon’s “Hot New Releases” chart shows, according to CrackBerry. BlackBerry Z10 now tops the US-based retailer’s list of new entries.

The black unlocked version of the Z10 is ranked number one, while the white unlocked model is now number two.

This seems rather surprising, especially that the newly launched Sony Xperia Z is number six on Amazon’s “Hot New Releases” chart.

Those who are still looking for a good deal on the Z10 may want to take into consideration Amazon and Walmart offers.

It looks like Amazon is now selling the Verizon BlackBerry Z10 and the AT&T versions for only $150/€115 with new two-year agreements. Check them out here.

Walmart offers a much better deal on the Z10, as the retailer is now selling the Verizon variant for just $140/€110 with a new two-year agreement. It is also worth mentioning that both deals are also available for customers eligible for contract upgrades.

The first BlackBerry 10 smartphone launched by the Canadian handset maker has received mixed reviews since its launch back in February.

Most reviewers have complained that the camera’s performance is much lower than expected, as well as the battery life, which is not on par with the average rating by BlackBerry.

Anyway, the phone is pretty powerful underneath, as the device comes equipped with a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, an Adreno 225 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The phone packs 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD memory card. There’s also an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.
