Some of the BlackBerry users out there have now the possibility to download and install a new operating system flavor on their devices, though not in an official manner, as BlackBerry OS 6.0.0.526 has just leaked into the wild on handsets like Bold 9780, Curve 9300, Curve 9330 and Torch 9800. Apparently, the leaked firmware was not accompanied by details on the changes that were included with it, but rumor has it that users would enjoy speed enhancements as soon as they install it on their devices.

BlackBerry users who download and install leaked software on their devices should already know that these are not official releases, which means that they might contain certain bugs that could result in malfunctioning of the phones.

However, they would also bring forth performance enhancements, which would worth the risk. It is not recommended to install leaked software, but there are certainly those who would like to do so.

One way or the other, they should known that, provided that things do not go according to plan, they would be the only ones to be held responsible for any issues that might emerge with their handsets.

As stated above, the newly leaked OS flavor is available for download for the BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphones, as well as for Torch 9800, which hasn't tasted a leaked firmware for quite some time, it seems.

Moreover, the new software landed on BlackBerry Curve 9300 and Curve 9330 devices as well, following the unofficial availability of OS 6.0.0.524 for them.

The same as with .524, the new .526 release should increase the speed of the device, though other fixes and enhancements would certainly be present with the device as well.

Those of you interested in downloading and installing the said leaked BlackBerry OS 6.0.0.526 on either of the Bold 9780, Curve 9300, Curve 9330, or Torch smartphones should head to n4bb to learn more on how they can download the software.
