Research in Motion has just introduced the BlackBerry Curve 9360 smartphone in Singapore via M1 and SingTel carriers.

Silently unveiled by RIM several weeks ago, BlackBerry Curve 9360 is the latest addition to the Curve series of budget-friendly smartphones.

Slim and stylish, the Curve 9360 is aimed at customers who want to experience BlackBerry 7's new features, but cannot afford to purchase any of the more expensive devices announced by RIM in back in August.

The smartphone comes with the same iconic portrait QWERTY keyboard, allowing for fast and accurate typing, complemented by an optical trackpad that helps users navigate through the phone's menus with only one hand.

The new BlackBerry Curve 9360 is a stunning, easy-to-use smartphone that will appeal to Singaporean customers who want to stay socially connected. We expect the new BlackBerry Curve 9360, with all of its major enhancements, to be well received by new customers as well as existing BlackBerry Curve users looking to upgrade,” said Gregory Wade, Regional Managing Director of East Asia at Research In Motion.

Aside the new BlackBerry 7 operating system, the BlackBerry Curve 9360 offers a wide range of features, such as built-in support for NFC (Near Field Communications), a next generation BlackBerry browser, GPS with A-GPS, as well as Wi-Fi support.

BlackBerry Curve 9360 is equipped with a single core 800 MHz processor and packs 512 MB of internal memory, 512 MB of RAM, and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

There's also a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features LED flash and video recording.

Software-wise, the BlackBerry Curve 9360 offers the full suite of suite of phone, email, messaging and social apps that allows users to stay connected throughout the day.

In addition, the smartphone comes pre-loaded with the latest release of BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), the updated Social Feeds 2.0 app, Facebook and Twitter.
