Mobile phone carrier T-Mobile USA has just announced that it would launch a new smartphone on its airwaves in the very near future, namely the BlackBerry Curve 9300. According to the company, the new BlackBerry Curve 3G mobile phone expected to land on its airwaves on September 8.

Moreover, it seems that the carrier would price this device conveniently enough, as users interested in it would be able to purchase it for only $79.99 upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with T-Mobile USA.

“Hey Blackberry fans - here’s some good news to kick off the week. The BlackBerry Curve 3G is coming to T-Mobile September 8 at an affordable price of $79.99. 3G never looked so good,” is what the carrier announced via its Facebook page.

All in all, this seems to be a nice addition to the carrier's offering, especially since it packs enhanced support for 3G connectivity, though not HSPA+ capabilities, just as other upcoming devices at T-Mobile do.

The specifications list of this device includes the popular BlackBerry QWERTY keyboard with trackpad for navigation, along with support for a wide range of connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and more.

The new mobile phone also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, built-in GPS receiver (with preloaded BlackBerry Maps application), a 2-megapixel photo snapper with fixed focus, a high-resolution screen, and other more.

The new BlackBerry Curve model measures 109 x 60 x 13.88 mm and packs a battery that can offer up to 4.5 hours of talk time, or up to 19 days of standby time on GSM (5.5 hours/14.5 days on UMTS).

Currently running under Research In Motion's Blackberry 5 OS, the smartphone should receive an update to the latest flavor of the platform, BlackBerry 6 OS, within the following months, though it all depends on the carrier.
