The latter is said to be some kind of an update to the Bold model

The pink Bold is probably one of the most unpleasant rumors to have surfaced lately, the only good thing about it being that this new Bold version will reportedly not be available worldwide, but just in Canada. From the looks of things, pink is set to become the new black if we’re to listen to Rogers Wireless, which came up with this idea for this holiday season release.

So as to make sure that this is not an exaggerated statement, let’s say that it's only fair to assume that a percentage of all potential clients might be really thrilled about the idea. Most likely, it will be mostly women who will be contemplating such a purchase.

This new pink version of the Bold, set to be released by Rogers as already mentioned, could actually turn out to be not as bad as most of us would imagine, because only some parts, and not the entire device, might receive the pink coloring. Even so, there will be some who will not agree at all with such an idea, especially for Christmas, if it’s for this holiday that it will be released.

As for the new Curve, which also went to Rogers, it should be released in January next year, and it will offer about the same capabilities as the Bold. The only difference would be the better 3.2 Megapixel camera, as it comes with the same screen resolution, of 480 x 360 pixels, and the same GPS and Wi-Fi capabilities. Unfortunately, it will lack 3G connectivity. The device will go for $149.99 on a 3-year agreement.

Also, Fido, a small branch of Rogers, will be offering its services for the BlackBerry 8120 Pearl, which is set for release in the second week of December, in oyster pink and grey. The other Fido release will be the BlackBerry 8220 Pearl, coming later on, sometime in the first quarter of 2009 with a $50 price tag, on a 2-year deal this time. This 2-year contract will probably strike users as a most interesting option, as there have been few to none such deals allowed in Canada for some time now.

If you're still interested, you should be keep an eye peeled for more details coming from Rogers or Fido about other releases, or for important announcements for this year and the next.
