It looks like more and mobile carriers are experiencing problems with the BlackBerry Bold. It’s either this or they simply don't want to take any chances with it. This might happen because AT&T pushed back the release date for RIM's device and Orange UK suspended shipments of it, thus making other carriers worldwide either test the device thoroughly or delay the release date.

This is also the case with Romanian mobile carriers Vodafone and Orange. The latter said that the Bold was working fine, with just a few customers having reported problems with it so far. However, it also said that it would keep a close eye on the phone so that any difficulties that might occur would be solved quickly.

Vodafone Romania announced that it would start selling the device beginning with the month of October, a thing that has not happened before. Company representatives said that they were still testing the phone's software, and assured that they would launch the BlackBerry Bold as soon as all the tests were completed.

BlackBerry Bold was designed for business, having a 624Mhz processor, 3.6Mbps quad-band web access and Wi-Fi for email and Internet on the move. It also has a GPS incorporated, so businessmen will always know exactly where they are. A quick recap of the other features: USB connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0, microSD card slot, 1GB of internal memory, MP3 player and video playback, 2MP camera, 3.5-mm jack, big TFT LCD 65K 480 x 320 color display, trackball and full QWERTY keyboard. This little baby is powered by the 4.6 version of the BlackBerry OS.

In Romania, the device is available since September 15 only through Orange, and the retail price is somewhere between 349 and 439 Euros depending on the subscription customers choose.
