14 DAY TRIAL // BlackBerry Bold Touch, the first Bold handset that Research In Motion is expected to bring to the market with a touchscreen display on board, has just got its full specifications leaked into the wild.
The new mobile phone, spotted into the wild a few times before, as Dakota/Montana, and is expected to become official in May at the BlackBerry World, while hitting shelves in summer (June or July).
The touch-enabled Bold has made it to the headlines quite a few times before, and was even spotted in a series of support videos, as well as in various hands-on photos but nothing was officially conformed on it as of yet.
However, following various leaked specs and rumors on the handset's capabilities, documents that reportedly unveil all that there is to know on the handset's hardware specifications made it into the wild, courtesy of N4BB.
The same as other upcoming devices from RIM, the BlackBerry Bold Touch is expected to arrive on shelves with a 1.2GHz Qualcomm 8655 Snapdragon application processor inside, complemented by 8GB of internal memory.
It would also sport a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back which should offer 720p HD video recording capabilities. On the front, it would pack a 2.8-inch touchscreen display boasting a 640 x 480-pixel resolution, and a QWERTY keyboard.
The mobile phone's specs list would also include Wi-Fi connectivity, with WiFi hotspot capabilities, along with Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB port, built-in GPS receiver, with A-GPS support, and 3G capabilities.
At the same time, the BlackBerry Bold Touch is expected to arrive on shelves with a 1,230 mAh battery inside, while measuring 115 x 66 x 10.5 mm, and weighing in at 130 grams. It would run under the BlackBerry OS 6.1 platform.
