Further proof of BlackBerry Bold 9780's near launch on the market comes from the wireless carrier Orange UK, which put the yet unannounced smartphone from Research In Motion on its coming soon page.

In addition to showing that the new mobile phone is as real as it can be, the wireless carrier also confirms the full specifications list for it, as well as the fact that it would be available for free on monthly plans.

The new device, supposedly the successor of BlackBerry Bold 9780, should include all of the business features of the predecessor, while adding increased performance into the mix.

“The optical trackpad puts your contacts, calendar and email within easy reach, while multi-tasking functionality ensures you can edit documents while surfing the web – and if that sounds too much like hard work, you can relax and enjoy your favorite tracks and videos through the crystal clear audio and LCD display,” Orange says on the new device.

The specifications list of Bold 9780 shows a 2.44" TFT display that boasts a 480 x 360 pixels resolution, along with a 5-megapixel photo snapper with auto focus and video recording capabilities.

The handset sports a 624 MHz processor inside, complemented by 512MB of RAM and 256 MB of flash memory, while including support for microSD (TransFlash) memory cards of up to 16 GB.

Other specs of the new mobile phone include 3G (HSDPA), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g, UMA, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP connectivity options, as well as MicroUSB v2.0 and 3.5mm audio jack.

Measuring 109 x 60 x 14 mm and weighing in at 122 g, the new Blackberry Bold 9780 packs a battery that can offer up to 6 hours of talk time, or up to 14 days of standby time.

With built-in GPS receiver, it includes support for various location-based applications, while also delivering great multimedia capabilities via MP3 and AAC player.

The smartphone runs under the BlackBerry 6 operating system, offers a document editor (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF), and support for email, messaging, social networking, and more.
