Singer hints she might take a break once the tour is over

Beyonce Knowles is currently busy touring the world with her I Am… Tour, and doing plenty of live appearances to promote it, but things might change pretty soon if what she’s saying is even remotely accurate. In a recent interview, the Sasha Fierce star hinted that she might retire once the tour was over, just to relax a bit after so much work, as Showbiz Spy can confirm.

Still, even if she does take an extended vacation, the singer is not planning on working on a family or stepping out of the spotlight altogether. It’s just that, after so much hard work, what with a new album, the tour and several films, she’s grown exhausted and she feels like she needs a break, the star says.

“My priorities are slowly changing.” Beyonce explains, as quoted by the aforementioned source. “So after this tour I might be tired and want to take two years off. I’ve worked hard enough to be able to do that. I’m in a very good place.” Beyonce adds. As for starting a family, there still is plenty of time for that, the “Halo” star reveals. Moreover, she stresses, her words should not be twisted in the media, as is usually the case, because, if she says she’s taking time off to rest, then that’s what will happen beyond any doubt.

“We try to sync our calendars. I started working on my tour a year ago just to make sure that I had time at home.” Beyonce says of how her busy agenda has interfered with her personal life at home with Jay Z. “Any other woman who has to go to work and pick up the kids and make dinner – that’s way harder than what I have to do. At least I can say I’m taking two weeks off and really take two weeks off.” the star adds.

Should Beyonce be really planning a break from music, then the rumor that Destiny’s Child was coming back together for another album must have been just in the realm of wishful-thinking. As fans must remember, a while ago, word broke out in the media that the girls still owed Columbia Records another album in the same format, which they were reportedly considering doing in 2011, once Beyonce was done with the promo work for her own album.
