An eight-year-old fan got the biggest surprise during Beyonce’s recent gig in Sydney, as she was invited on stage during a customized rendition of “Halo.” Chelsea suffers from Leukemia and Beyonce wanted to dedicate to her her hit, thus changing the routine and no longer performing the Michael Jackson tribute, the Mirror informs.

The video of the performance has just surfaced on YouTube: it is a 2+-minute performance that manages to move anyone who watches it, just like it did with the members of the audience, who were all crying as Beyonce hugged little Chelsea. It also goes to show, yet again, that Beyonce is far from what the world understands as the “typical” pop star who cares about nothing but herself, since she decided to share her moment with a girl who truly needed to feel special in such a horrible moment in her life, as she’s fighting the disease, fans say.

“This is the emotional moment Beyonce invites a special fan to join her on stage for a unique version of Halo. Chelsea, who is suffering from Leukemia, cuddles up to Beyonce as she sings: ‘Chelsea I can see your halo, I pray you won’t fade away.’ The powerful performance in Sydney has members of the audience bursting into tears and singing along to the personalized lyrics.” the British publication says of the performance.

However, as fans must already know, Beyonce is no stranger to sharing her brightest moments with someone else, as she has also shown at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. Instead of going forward with her acceptance speech towards the end of the ceremony, when she took to the stage to accept her Video of the Year award, Beyonce chose to invite Taylor Swift to say her thanks, as she didn’t have the opportunity when she won Best Female Video because of Kanye West’s rude interruption.

“Thank you. I remember being 17-years-old, up for my first MTV Award with Destiny’s Child and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life. So I’d like Taylor [Swift] to come out and have her moment.” Beyonce said during the ceremony. The 19-year-old country singer, looking all confused but pleasantly surprised, came up next and addressed her fans, with Beyonce looking on and smiling, as we also reported at the time.
