Canadian mobile phone carrier Bell has been expected to launch its new HSPA wireless network at the beginning of this month, and now the company went official with the exact date. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, November 4, Bell subscribers will be able to enjoy the new highly-anticipated HSPA wireless network their carrier will fire up.

“In two days, Canadians will be able to access the most advanced wireless network in the world,” said Bell and BCE President and CEO George Cope. “The launch of our new network – months ahead of schedule - underlines that the Bell team continues to deliver on our strategic imperatives to accelerate wireless in Canada and to invest in next-generation broadband networks. We move forward every day toward achieving our goal - for Bell to be recognized by customers as Canada's leading communications company.”

The carrier announced that the new HSPA wireless network wouldn't come alone to Canada, but that it would be accompanied by a series of compatible smartphones, adding that users would also have the opportunity to enjoy a series of turbo sticks from leading mobile device manufacturers. All of these will be available for Canadians as soon as November 4.

According to the wireless operator, the new network is expected to deliver the most advanced speeds in the country, topping 21 Megabits per second (Mbps), while also offering the largest coverage area in Canada, with over one million square kilometers and offering connectivity to around 20,000 Canadian cities and towns, or around 93 percent of the country's population.

The company claims its users will also be able to enjoy international roaming capability on GSM, UMTS and HSPA networks, in over 200 countries around the world. The new network that is being fired this week comes a few months before the originally-expected launch timeframe, which was the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver next February. Moreover, the carrier also added that the new network would offer it the possibility to easily and efficiently upgrade to the next-generation LTE wireless standard in the near future.
