Approximately a week ago, Carrie Prejean was fired by the Miss California USA organization following months of not fulfilling her contractual obligations as reigning Miss California. The modification became effective immediately, but that did not stop Prejean from starting a media tour saying she had been made a scapegoat for obvious reasons. Now, the beauty pageant is threatening to sue Carrie if she sues them, exposing her for who she really is in the process, TMZ says.

Pageant officials have already gone on the record with the decision, saying that Prejean only stands to lose if she sues the organization for defamation and wrongful termination of contract. Consequently, should the now-dethroned beauty queen go on with her plans of seeking legal retribution for getting axed, the Miss California USA will counter-sue and provide the public with more than enough evidence to show the world her true character – which is really not a sight to behold, they tell TMZ.

“We just obtained a letter the pageant’s lawyer fired off to Carrie’s lawyer, threatening to sue her for her ‘churlish insolent misbehavior.’ The long letter details the alleged misdeeds which led to Carrie getting das boot. For starters, the pageant’s lawyer says Carrie is full of it when she stated publicly she didn’t ink a book deal. The letter also says Carrie had wrongfully turned down 39 pageant appearances since May 12. And the letter claims Carrie defamed pageant honcho Keith Lewis when she said he ‘pressured her to appear in Playboy.; Lewis says he merely passed on the offer, which he never advocated she take. The letter says Carrie was fired because of her ‘intolerable misbehavior,’ citing ‘hostile communications from Carrie’.” TMZ writes after seeing the letter in question.

As of now, Prejean has not yet responded to the latest attack from the beauty pageant but, judging by her behavior in recent days, more specifically, ever since she was stripped of her title and tiara, it won’t be long until she issues a statement on the issue, several other US publications point out. She might actually be motivated to do so by the last lines of the aforementioned letter, TMZ points out, which clearly ask her to take a public stand on the matter.

“If Carrie Prejean wants to assert in public that she was courteous, cooperative or professional in her conduct as Miss California USA, the history of her churlish insolent misbehavior can be presented.” the letter says. The final lines also urge Prejean to cease making defamatory remarks about the beauty pageant and to retract those she has already made, the e-zine concludes by saying.
