14 DAY TRIAL // Barbara Walters is hanging up her heels and her microphone: the TV veteran is seriously considering stepping down from ABC’s The View, claims a new report.
Shortly after Joy Behar confirmed that she wouldn’t be renewing her contract when it’s up in August and following speculation that Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been fired, the New York Daily News reports that the changes will be bigger than fans might have anticipated.
“There may even be more changes in store for The View, sources told the Daily News that the show’s creator/executive producer and star, Barbara Walters is considering stepping down,” the e-zine writes.
It doesn’t mention more on the topic so your guess is as good as anyone else’s as to why Walters might have decided that it was time she was out of the picture or the date when that would happen.
