Right now, DICE is rolling out its PC Beta for Battlefield Bad Company 2, which features the multiplayer game mode Rush on the Port Valdez map, but we also know that the game will also feature a solid single-player campaign. And if we want any details beyond those that the title's story trailer revealed, then we can look at the ESRB rating description that it has just received. Awarding the game a Mature rating for "Blood, Strong Language, Violence," the ESRB also leaked some interesting gameplay features.

While the trailer that DICE released just a few weeks ago showed that the game would have players hunt down a terrifying and mysterious super weapon in modern days, it looks like the World War II heritage of the franchise would also make an appearance in BC2. According to the description the ESRB gave the game, "In single-player mode, players conduct missions on an unnamed Japanese island during World War II and then move into the modern day through jungles, deserts, and snowy terrain."

How exactly these WWII missions will link to the present is still unknown, and the current information we have is too vague even for speculations. What we can try to guess, however, is the Japanese island that will make an appearance in the game, and if Okinawa and Iwo Jima are some of the most familiar names to players, Battlefield veterans might think of another Japanese island that has made an appearance in almost every Battlefield title.

Wake island is the culprit, and the less popular patch of earth might be better suited for a story development than its two far more popular competitors, with a lot more mysteries still hidden on it. Right now, Electronic Arts and DICE have set a launch date for the title sometime in March, and, even if we're about a month away from the release period and the game doesn't have a date set for it, chances are pretty slim that BC2 will be delayed. From what we saw in the beta, the title is pretty polished, with almost no bugs and a very well implemented gameplay and mechanics.
