Without the shadow a doubt, iPad accessories will clearly be a hot item during this year's Christmas shopping period, and for this reason, just about every company manufacturing such products has added a few special items to the lineup over the past couple of weeks, the latest we've come across being iSkin and their Aura Folio + Media Display Stand for iPad. The aura is a multi-purpose folio (that's iSkin's term of choice for protective case) that allows iPad owners to carry, display and work on their iPad in style.

Taking basic elements to another level, iSkin handpicked premium fabrics and materials to construct a sleek and lightweight folio that fortifies, styles and makes full use of the iPad’s multi-media capabilities, while in the same time making a statement about the owner's fashion sense.

Covered in brushed metallic nylon outside and microfiber lining inside, the aura features a slim-fit jacket with the traditional iSkin designer pattern that fully encapsulates the iPad snug.

Buttons release a hidden stand that folds out to enable ergonomic typing, with the hardcover flap keeping glare – and unwanted eyes – away (this is, in fact, a pretty useful feature, given the fact that the iPad is not yet mainstream enough not to attract everyone's attention when used in some public location).

Another quick fold out allows media or presentations to be displayed firmly, with three stable stoppers varying optimal viewing.

The iSkin aura will be available soon at select retailers and is available at iSkin.com for $119.99, which is only slightly more expensive than some of the other protective cases available out there, but we guess that the difference in pricing is quite worth it, both from the point of view of the extra functionality this thing provides, as well as its very good looks.
