The highly anticipated horror action adventure game that is going to be released this June in Europe will also get a Limited Edition packed with goodies, according to Atari. The company plans to release both editions of the game simultaneously for Xbox 360, Wii and PC systems.

If you decide to purchase the Limited Edition, you will receive a copy of the game, one figurine of the legendary hero Edward Carnby, an official soundtrack CD featuring eight in-game tracks created by Olivier Derivi?re and performed by the choir The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices. Also, the Alone in the Dark European Limited Edition package will have a making-of documentary with exclusive interviews, behind the scenes footage and additional bonus content, as well as a full color art book featuring sketches never seen before, storyboards and original artwork from Eden Games. Also, all these great items will be received in a specially designed box.

Alone in the Dark will allow you for one game night (countless hours of gameplay in real life) to become Edward Carnby and battle to survive at all costs in New York and uncover the secret behind all the strange happenings that take place in Central Park.

The game is developed by Eden Games and uses state-of-the-art technology to create a fully interactive environment where all objects can be freely used to create tools, decoys and weapons. Another interesting implementation is the way the actual story will be told: in an episodic style, similar to the popular TV drama series. Basically, everything will be made in such a way to make you think that you're actually playing in a real horror movie - the chapter selection will be made through a DVD-style menu. However, this could be also considered a drawback, since this means that if you get stuck somewhere, you can simply go and select the next chapter. Eden Games says it's the first game everybody can finish and we don't know whether that is a good idea or not. We'll see when the game gets released. It is a title definitely worth trying.
