Asus has recently started selling in Japan the Asus Eee Top ET2011 all-in-one desktop PC that offers an interesting array of features and is powered by AMD's Brazos dual-core accelerated processing unit.

The Eee Top ET2011 is built inside a stylish chassis that includes a 20-inch LED-backlit display with a native resolution of 1600x900 pixels and the whole system weights around 5.5 kilograms.

Taking a loot at the technical specification of the Asus AIO, users will be greeted by the AMD Zacate E-350 APU, which is seconded by A50M Fusion controller hub, 4GB of system memory and by a 500GB hard drive.

The AMD APU used for this system packs dual Bobcat x86 processing cores clocked at 1.6GHz, an on-die Radeon HD 6310 graphics core and the UVD3 media engine.

This configuration makes the APU well suited for multimedia use and it should be fully capable of playing back any sort of Full HD video content, no matter the format this is encoded in.

The rest of the configuration of the Asus all-in-one includes a DVD burner optical drive, an optional TV tuner module as well as Gigabit LAN and 802.11 b/g/n WiFi connectivity.

Along the sides of the system, Asus has included all sorts of ports and connectors, including six USB 2.0 ports, mic and headphone jacks, a multi format card reader, an HDMI input as well as a DVD burner. Sound is provided by a pair of SonicFoucs 2-Watt speakers.

Asus has just started selling the Eee Top ET2011 in Japan, but is also available from a series of online retailers with prices ranging around the $619.00 mark.

All in all, the Eee Top ET2011 seems like a really a nice system for multimedia use, and its only flaw is that it comes without a touch-enabled display. (via Notebook Italia)
