Asura’s Wrath, the new cinematic brawler from Capcom, has just received a launch trailer, celebrating this week’s release, as well as the first details about some of its downloadable content.

Capcom and developer CyberConnect2 have been working on the unique Asura’s Wrath for quite some time, trying to deliver a hack and slash experience that’s structured just like an anime TV show.

Now, after releasing a very impressive demo, the two companies have just launched the final version of Asura’s Wrath, which appeared yesterday in the U.S., on February 22, and is out tomorrow, February 24, in Europe. UK gamers, sadly, will have to wait until March 9 to get their hands on the new game.

In order to get people even more excited about the game, the two companies have also unveiled the launch trailer for Asura’s Wrath.

Besides the video, which can be found below, Capcom also revealed the first details on the downloadable content packs that are going to appear for the stylized game.

These add-ons fill players in on the events that happened in between the episodes of the main story, providing “a completely new artistic look taking their inspiration from the world of anime."

"These DLC packs explore what happened between episodes from the full game,” Capcom said. “What was going through Asura's mind when he fought against his mentor Augus? Which is the right path for Yasha to follow; should he betray his friend Asura or take his side against Deus? These questions will be answered when the DLC episodes launch shortly after release."

Besides these downloadable interludes, a special add-on will also be released that pits Asura against some of the famous characters from Capcom’s Street Fighter series, including Ryu, as you can see in the image above.

You can expect more details about these add-ons for Asura’s Wrath to appear in the near future.
