14 DAY TRIAL // AssistiveWare has confirmed that its software applications for Mac OS X, including KeyStrokes, Proloquo, SwitchXS, LayoutKichten and GhostReader, are now fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. While KeyStrokes 4.1.1 provides a fully functional virtual keyboard with multilingual word prediction and dwelling for people with physical disabilities, AssistiveWare’s SwitchXS 2.5.1 provides a single or multiple switch-based computer access and communication solution for a full emulation of the mouse and keyboard. The application can be used with any standard Mac OS X program and supports switch-accessible communication panels.
Proloquo 2.0.2, AssistiveWare’s multilingual speech and communication solution, enables those with a speech disability to use their computer as an AAC device. “Not to be confused with our Proloquo2Go product, which turns an iPhone or iPod touch into full-featured communication solution for people who have difficulty speaking,” AssistiveWare outlines.
LayoutKitchen, a keyboard, speech-panel and scan-panel editor for KeyStrokes, Proloquo and SwitchXS, is now at version 2.1.2 and fully supports Snow Leopard. The same goes for GhostReader 1.6.5, AssistiveWare’s multilingual document and selection reader that can also convert text to iPod-ready iTunes files.
