Assassin's Creed Unity, the next installment in the series made by Ubisoft, has just received a special cinematic video from the E3 2014 event, alongside quite a few details about its ambitious goals and its fantastically recreated version of Paris.

Assassin's Creed Unity was revealed to the world earlier this year, thanks to a short teaser trailer released by Ubisoft in order to clarify rumors concerning the new installment in its popular series.

At E3 2014, a special gameplay demonstration was shown that confirmed the four-player cooperative mode, not to mention details about its new protagonist, Arno, and much more.

Now, on the UbiBlog, Ubisoft has just revealed a special cinematic trailer for Assassin's Creed Unity, showing off more cutscenes from the game.

The publisher has also confirmed that, for Unity, the team at Ubisoft Montreal has rebuilt from the ground up plenty of core mechanics, including combat, navigation, and other such things.

"Set among the bloody turmoil of the French Revolution, Unity offers a bold revamp of many of the series’ key pillars, including combat and navigation systems that have been rebuilt from the ground up to take complete advantage of the new technology. Also, for the first time ever in an Assassin’s Creed game, you will be able to form your own Brotherhood with your friends and take to the streets of Paris."

Because Assassin's Creed Unity is exclusive to PC, PS4, and Xbox One, the team at Ubisoft has managed to overhaul the whole experience and deliver a high-quality iteration.

"With the possibilities of New Generation consoles, we are creating the densest and most realistic Assassin’s Creed city yet, while redefining the pillars of the franchise that have made it such a fan favorite," said Yves Guillemot, chief executive officer at Ubisoft.

"With French Revolution Paris, Assassin’s Creed Unity is set in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, based on a key moment of history that will thrill longtime fans and newcomers alike."

The virtual Paris has been recreated on a 1:1 scale, according to Ubisoft, and the game can support up to 5,000 non-playable characters on the screen at once, so expect to see some colossal crowds in the upcoming game.

What's more, the parkour system has also been refined and, seeing as how players can now go through buildings, it's going to be interesting to see where it leads in terms of chases and exploration missions.

Check out the gorgeous cinematic trailer below and look forward to the launch of Assassin's Creed Unity on October 28.
