The developers working on Assassin's Creed: Revelations, the latest entry in the Ubisoft made mix between open world action and mystery, have made it clear that they are planning to shed some light on the questions players have about the franchise, without giving everything away.

Of course, a fair number of questions will only be fully answered when the inevitable Assassin's Creed III launches.

Alex Amancio, who is the creative director working on Assassin's Creed: Revelations, has talked to Destructoid during the recent PAX event and said, “We actually found, I forget where it is on the web, somebody did a ‘Top Ten Things Fans Want to Know About Assassin’s Creed. And in that top ten list, we actually answer seven.”

The executive says that one of the big reveals included in Revelations is the exact relation between Desmond, the modern day protagonist, Altair, the star of the first game in the series, and Ezio, the Renaissance hero of the last two installments.

Amancio added, “People are going to go ‘Oh, okay, I get it!’ or ‘I never thought they were going to show me that!’ and it really sets you up for what’s to come. Keep in mind we’re following the typical trilogy structure. So of course, everything can’t be answered.”

The creative director believes that the team working on the game also needs to make sure that some elements of the mythology are left unanswered so that future products linked to the universe can explore them.

Revelations will take Ezio to Constantinople and will have the same open structure as Brotherhood.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is set to be launched on the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360 from Microsoft during November while a PC version is being prepared by Ubisoft for launch at a later date.
