A bit of bad news and some really good new informations

Definitely not a competitor to Grand Theft Auto IV, Assassin's Creed for PC (dubbed "Director's Cut Edition") will be released a bit later. Initially set for a March, 28 release, we now got word that the game will hit the stores starting the 8th of April this year, closer to the GTA explosion.

If this news sounds a bit disappointing to you, Ubisoft decided to send some new screenshots to ease the pain and you can check them out below. Even though they don't say much about the game, they do prove (once again) that Crysis now has somebody to fight against for the best graphics award.

And in what should be more good news, Assassin's Creed System Requirements have been slightly toned down, which means that even more people can enjoy this great title. Here are the new and official requirements:

- Processor: Dual core processor 2.6 GHz Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ or better recommended) - RAM: 1 GB Windows XP / 2 GB Windows Vista - Video Card: 256 MB DirectX 10.0–compliant video card or DirectX 9.0 compliant card with Shader Model 3.0 or higher (see supported list)* Sound Card: DirectX 9.0 or 10.0 compliant sound card (5.1 sound card recommended) - DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0 or10.0 libraries (included on disc) - DVD-ROM: DVD-ROM dual-layer drive - Hard Drive Space: 8 GB - Peripherals Supported: Keyboard, mouse, optional controller (Xbox 360 Controller for Windows recommended)

Supported Video Cards at Time of Release: - ATI RADEON X1600*/1650* 1950/HD 2000/3000 series - NVIDIA GeForce 6800*/7/8/9 series *PCI Express only supported

Just the fact that the needed RAM has been halved is a good enough reason to say that Assassin's Creed Director's Cut Edition will be more accessible than Crysis. But we'll see that in less than a month, won't we?
